How to start an Auto, Boat, or RV Insurance Claim:

Stop your vehicle and move it to a safe place if possible.

Determine if you or any passengers are injured.

Two or more Vehicle Accident:

Exchange information with the other driver(s) involved in the accident. You should obtain driver(s) names, addresses, telephone numbers, type and ownership of vehicles, insurance information and description of damages.

Call the police. Cooperate with officials and answer their questions.

Do not admit fault to anyone- you do not have all the facts about the accident.

If your vehicle must be towed, request that it be taken to the repair shop of your choice.

How to start a Property Claim resulting from fire, water, wind, theft or vandalism:

Immediately make any necessary repairs to ensure no additional damage can occur.

For example, when dealing with burst pipes, immediately turn off the water and when dealing with roof leaks, immediately place a tarp on the roof, etc.

Be sure to keep a record of all repair costs including receipts for immediate and necessary expenditures such as tarps.
